Campsite configurations

Campsites at private campgrounds are usually set up with hookups on the driver side of the RV, and a patio or grassy area on the passenger side.

Pull-through sites

If you’re towing a trailer or fifthweel behind a pickup truck or towing a dinghy behind a motorhome, a pull-through site allows you to enter and exit the site without disconnecting the two.

Back-in sites

Back-in sites require that you reverse into the site. This is usually not an issue of you’re towing a trailer or fifthwheel.

If you’re towing a dinghy or toad (such as a car or pickup truck) behind a motorhome, the dinghy will need to be disconnected before backing into the site.

Buddy sites

Buddy sites are adjacent sites that face in opposite directions. A number of Escapees campgrounds are set up with these back-to-back sites.
