An increasing number of people live in their RV full time. Some folks look forward to retirement, and plan to sell their home and move into an RV for fulltime living.
Some younger (pre-retirement) people decide to move into an RV full time, in the belief that they can more readily afford this style of living v living in a house.
Younger families see an opportunity to introduce their children to the many facets of their country. Home schooling (or road schooling) is often a must for these families.
Challenges
Fulltiming offers some additional challenges v part time RVing. Examples are the number and size of personal belongings v available storage, and the need to plan for places to camp in different seasons.
Exit plan
Another consideration that too many retiree fulltimers don’t think about is the need for an exit plan. Somewhere in their later years, unexpected serious illness or mobility issues can show up, and sometimes one half of a couple passes away. The couple or surviving spouse may not drive the RV, and/or lack the financial ability to purchase a house.
