Acquiring internet service for RVers can be a challenge due to a number of factors.
Private campgrounds will usually provide WiFi, although the quality of signal and speed of service varies significantly. The increasing need for RVers to stream movies puts additional demands on the service.
If cell service is available, tethering to a cell phone or using a cellular modem can satisfy the RVer’s internet needs. However, streaming or other high demands will likely be expensive and/or could cause your service to be throttled or capped. Cellular service varies significantly by location and carrier.
Some local phone companies may offer the ability to connect to DSL service.
Satellite internet service requires the use of expensive eqipment, and service can be expensive.
